Will Matthews Event Speaker

"I am involved with this event to celebrate our differences and to highlight our commonalities. I do this for my sons to have a positive impact on their lives for good. Sports and music have been vehicles for social change for many years. Both have similar power to entertain and educate."

"Music has always been a form of activism for me and collectively, we all are starting necessary overdue conversations, asking the hard questions, listening and demanding change."

"We have as artists and as individuals been writing music about social justice, civil rights and the harm of racism in society with call to eradicate racism since we were teenagers and into current times. The Heard Event is a beautiful virtual gathering effort we are happy to be a part of."

TIME TO BE HEARD

When people are heard, real change can occur.

Being “heard” is a step in motivating people – all races – to work towards a world were color does not matter.

With an evening filled with amazing musical performances and truth-inspiring testimonials, the 2020 Heard Event was one night, a start, to achieve racial justice in our country.

For those who joined us, we thank you! Keep an eye out for future HEARD Events, and thanks for listening.

Make a Difference

Donate.

The event may be over, but the mission is not.  Continuing to partner with organizations, such as Ripple Reads and the Bail Project, moves communities together and builds the bridges needed for social reform.  Your donations help this progression.
